have had bike here for a couple of weeks and am using it daily after rehabbing from hip replacement a year ago I find it helps prevent the stiffness I was feeling when I couldn't get out and walk this winter. The design is not cumbersome so it fits in my bedroom easily, it's quiet and the controls were easy to figure out. It was also easy to put together (I am 77yo male)with minimal assistance.

This bike is awesome! My family and I use it 3 to 4 times a week. Assembly was not difficult, but time consuming. This bike will benefit us in our weight loss, along with our other exercise equipment. This recumbent bike was a great addition. The seat is very comfortable and it is easy to get on with the walk through design. Both my husband and I have knee problems, so this was important to us. We had an old upright stationary bike and we like the recumbent bike better. I only wish it had a book holder.

Very quiet bike--virtually no sound at all. Comfortable, love the ledge on the control panel to put my ipod on while I ride. Great value. The only complaint is there is no back light on the control panel so it can be hard to read the numbers while riding if in a darker room. Fun and a great workout so far.

This bike does everything that I need it to. Very comfortable, and its resistance comes in a wide array of difficulties. I mostly use the bike to maintain health and body weight because I work in an office for long hours making it hard to exercise. After a couple of weeks using the bike, I feel a lot better. The bike is super quiet.
The only con I can really think of is that the screen is basic. That isn't a big deal though because it works just fine.

it was easy to set up by myself. both my wife and i use it and she is 7 months pregnant. we both agree that it is very comfortable and so quiet that it was surprising. so far we have had no problems and have been very impressed. it provides for a really smooth exercise.

I use it to get some daily exercise because of a bad back that doesn't allow me too much walking. I love it - it was easy to assemble - my husband did it alone in less than 2 hours, it is quiet, sturdy, but not too heavy. I would recommend it highly!

My Wife and I was looking for a Quality Exercise Bike and We found it. We Have busy schedules and can't find time to ride our regular bikes. Its Usually to dark or late in the day when we get home. This Schwinn 220 Recumbent Exercise Bike is ready when we are, any time of day, AWSOME piece of equipment. Now we ride when we want and don't have to go anywhere to get that workout. Plus when we ride out regular bicycles were already in good shape to ride. Awsome.

I use the bike to help my legs function better because I have parkinson's which means I freeze a lot when I am walking. My 30 minute bike ride helps me every morning to limber my legs so that I freeze less and am able to walk better through out the day. thank you for your fine product.

The seat is easy to adjust for different heights. There are three of us using the bike and each of us need a different seat setting.
The monitor plugs into a wall outlet so there is no need to worry about batteries.

This product is all that was advertised. It is comfortable for large framed persons, easily adjustable for smaller persons to use. I have knee problems, but this recumbent bike puts little stress on the knee joints.

Both wife & I use bike. Different length adjustments. Suggest automobile type seat adjustment rather than constantly unscrewing and screwing adjustment. Also suggest instructions as where to locate serial number well before assembly is complete as difficult to obtain afterwards. Additionally suggest internet warranty registration as the postcard gives way for others to view your personal data.

I use this bike to do interval training. It is almost silent which surprised me. Easy to put together. All of the reviews that talked about confusing instructions surprise me. I had no issues whatsoever. Tried it this morning and it works great. the user instructions for setting up a custom user could be better, but I figured it out.

This is an awesome bike! Very quiet and comfortable. I ride it when I am watching a movie and can easily sit through a movie without a sore bottom. I bought the bike because I am allergic to the sun and can't affor the gym. It was a great investment. I even got my boyfriend riding it and he never exercises! No regrets on this one!!

We purchased this bike after much research and study. The reviews seemed very good for a bike in our desired use area. My wife had knee replacement and we wanted it for general exercise. This bike is a dream come true. From setup, which took a little more than 1 hour and was one of the easiest assemblies I have ever done. Daily usage is great and looked forward to. At least two more family members purchased this bike after using ours. I can truly say this is an excellent product and we are very pleased with it. My only con is it is large and you need a fair size space to keep it in.

This is a great bike. The only downside was the controls in setting up a profile. It wasn't clear and i probably have to spend some time reading the instructions, but on the surface it didn't make sense. But again, everything else seems great.

I'm using the 220 to build and strengthen the muscles in my legs. This was one of the easiest things I've had to put together and that was largley due to the great assembly instructions. The one minor flaw was the cheezy bottle holder. The bottom srew of the cupholder fell into the tube which supports the heart rate monitor, but I still give the 220 an outstanding review. The 220 is simplistic and effective. Buy it, use it, and live healthy.

I use this exercise bike because I have a herniated disc in my neck and can no longer do my aeorbic exercises. After my car accident and rehab I started searching for a way to get a cardio workout while still supporting my back and neck. This bike helps a lot. I am not getting the same level of exercise as I was before the accident, but it's better than reinjuring myself. There is no strain on my neck and the seat is really comfortable.[...] It is a great bike for the price! Super quiet too. I can watch TV without blasting the volume.

I purchased this bike after reading several good reviews. I am very well pleased with my purchase except for the way the seat is adjusted for another person using it. My husband is six inches taller than me and needs to move the seat each time he uses it. You have to twist the knob and take it out to move it forward or backwards. I wish it had an easier lever that you could just press down and move it. However this bike is very comfortable to use. I have fibromyalgia and lots of feet problems and this is the best exercise that I am able to do without hurting much. Before ordering the bike I had lost 20 pounds but was at a stand still and couldn't lose any more. I started the new 17 day diet which requires exercise of some sort twice a day for 17 minutes each. I started out on level 2 for the fist 17 days for 20 minutes each and I am in my second 17 days and increased to level 3. I plan to increase the level every 17 days and then I am going to increase to 30 mminutes and so on. I am also taking Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser Maximum Strength Calorie Contol capsules twice a day and I have lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks, (20 days) Other than the lever that adjust the seats I am very well pleased, and I guess I can live with the seat problem. It would be very nice if Schwinn would fix this problem and fix my bike for me at no cost to me. Wasn't hard to set up either. My 25 year old son set it up for me and it took him about an hour.

The 220 was purchased for use primarily by a senior adult whose mobility is somewhat limited. The seat is very comfortable, yet slightly wobbly, but that does not impede its use. The only limitation is a personal one, in that the user is having difficulty raising his foot easily to access the second pedal. I wish to note that for all others, hale and hardy, interested in a recumbent bicycle at a very moderate price, it is ACES!

I work out 6 days a week and include the bike in my routine. I start off warming up on the bike, do my routine, then I close down with the bike. My workout is around 2 hours daily. I like the versatility of the bike. It works for me, however, my husband weight is around 285 lbs., even though the bike says it can hold 300 lbs. I'm a little afraid to let him ride my bike for fear of breaking it.

Had a small issue with the wiring which stopped the resistance at first. Took off control box and checked wiring (wiggled a bit). Currently functioning just fine. I'm 6'3 with size 13 shoe so the foot pegs and straps could be a tad larger, but works well enough. I use 3-4 times a week and am currently satisfied with product.

Product arrived before expected. Directions for assembly easy to follow ~ took about 20 minutes with two people.
Only downside I see is you are only able to track one user in time/distance/calories burned at a time. Would be helpful to be able to add users to this model.
Has several resistance courses or you can enter manual course.
I would recommend this reasonably priced exercise bike to a friend.

After much comparison shopping and research we decided that the 220 fit the bill perfectly for our intended usage. We were not able to find it locally at a price comparable to to the Superstore's so we ordered. Everything has been more than positive. The delivery was considerably less time than expected, the packaging was the easiest to inventory and the hardware was blister packed with sizes and identifiers..so nice. The setup took two of us an hour or less with no complications, one of the most pleasant assemblies I have ever experienced. I have only positive thoughts.

I had a Schwinn exercise bike before and used it for 18 years. It is so nice to have a bike again. My husband and I just set it up yesterday and I tried it out briefly. This morning I tried to program it but it skipped step #3 and went into step #4. I was not able to save the level I wanted to work on. It said that there were 40 levels to go through, but that was vague in translation to me. I called customer service and they were very nice and explained everything to me. They registered my new purchase so that if I call back again I'm in their system. I'm to try again to reprogram the computer and hopefully step #3 will come up and I can enter that to my workout. If not, I'm to call back again and get the bike working correctly.

I was going to Physical Therapy for Degenerative Disc Disease complicated by arthritis that was pinching the sciatic nerve. The recumbent bike at PT along with the exercises have helped greatly. I bought this bike so I can continue at home as since my PT has ended, even with my daily exercises I was noticing my condition was degrading again. After searching the web for a good quality bike, and reading dozens of customer comments on them, I went to a local store and tried the floor models that they had(Which I would Recommend to everyone). Each machine was different, but I found this Schwinn 220 to be the smoothest and most comfortable (FOR ME) I also observed that of all the floor models it was also in the best condition, other models were already in various stages of disrepair. I wanted the 300 pound rating simply because it means the machine is more heavy duty than lower rated machines. I ordered from this online store because their price was more than $100 less than my local store. [...] I laid all the parts out on the living room floor. The screws and washers are blister packed and labeled so there is no guessing which screw goes where. For the purpose of this review I used the tools that come with the bike instead of going to get my own. I found the included tools quite adequate for the task of assembling the unit, with the exception that I would recommend a flat blade screw driver to properly tighten the screws that mount the computer panel. The Philips head driver that comes with the machine doesn't quite fit the screws properly and you could strip the screw heads tightening them down. Other than that the tools are quite nice, and will come in handy, kept nearby, for any adjustments needed. Assembly I found quite easy. The Manual is more picture based with very few words....so all you have to do is follow the great quality drawings one step at a time. It took me less than 55 minutes to assemble with the included tools. I just finished my first full workout before writing this. The machine is very smooth to operate, a better padded seat would be appreciated, but this one really is pretty good. Granted, I am not an exercise enthusiast so this had me sweating in 10 minutes. And the machine is so quiet, you'll find your breathing to be louder. You can barely hear any sound coming from the machine. I am more of a mechanical person than a tech person...while I find just it a teeny bit tedious to figure out the console, it really does display some nice features that many bikes do not. Someone with more Tech skills than I have should have no problem using the console, I'll have it figured out shortly. Over-all I think this is a wonderfully designed and very high quality Bike for the price tag on it when I compared it to other models. One of the reasons I started looking at this one was the Schwinn Reputation. It turns out that this machine is made by Nautilus, who also makes BowFlex, another fine reputation in Fitness equipment. This machine also comes with a much superior Warranty than all the other brands that were within my budget.
Shipping was prompt. The poor delivery guy dragged the box through the aftermath of a major ice storm up my more than 100 foot driveway to the garage, because his truck couldn't make it up the drive. If I had heard him coming I would have run out to help, but he dragged it all the way up the hill...without a cart, a cart would have made the task worse. Item arrived in excellent condition. When I saw him in the garage and said Holy ____ you dragged that all the way up???? He just shrugged his shoulders and grinned.

While we've only had this a short time the design, fit, and finish seem to be good. The bike is smooth in operation and quiet to the point where you don't even know that it's on. Our only negative(s) at this point are that the pedals and toe loops are just a little narrow for average sized footwear (mens 10D) to the point where the toeloops catch against the pedal arms when pedaling. This was resolved by removing the toe loops (they're not required). The bike is being used for supplimental cross training for a runner to remain limber in the off hours (running 4-5 times a week). This bike has the potential of being used for many years to come.
Delivery was prompt and product was received undamaged.

The adaptor to the bike broke already. That means the computer part of the bike does NOT work. I called the company and a replacement part is not available until APRIL (and I called in January)!! I can't use the bike without this. The company knows which bike I have, but is insisting I include the serial number, located on the bottom of the very heavy bike, and at 64 I can't read it. Not very helpful, huh???

I've had several back surgeries so wanted something low impact. I'ts easy to adjust for use between my wife and I. It would be nice if it had several programable programs instead of just one. When using any of the programs and it is going to a higher resistance there's a 2-4 sec spot where there seems to be no resistance at all then the higher resistance kicks in. Also, the seat is not comfortable, we use a chair cushion on it to provide a little more padding.

I use it 15 minutes every morning before work--I can catch the news as I ride,then hop on again when I get home from work--good way to unwind from a long day.I love not having to run to the gym and wait for the machine to be empty this having it at home I have no excuses...it calls my name as I enter the house.I truthfully can not think of one thing that is not great about it.

I purchased this bike because of the reviews and it has lived up to my expectations. I normally walk 5-6 miles a day, but it is very cold and dark by the time I get home from work. Now I can ride my bike for an hour and watch tv or read. I do not get the same workout as if I was outside walking, but it is a good way to stay in shape. I also use hand weights while I am on the bike. It is very smooth and I can easily read, which is difficult for me on a treadmill.

The Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike is a good investment. It was easy to assemble and is easy to use. The only slight concern is that when my husband uses it the bike seems rather fragile. My husband weighs 200 pounds. I have used the adjusters to balance the unit but it creeks and kind of bucks when he uses it. He lowered the resistance level so it works better. The bike works great for myself and my weight is 130 pounds.

Because we were into the holiday season, received bike early December, we didn't take the time to open it and put it together until New Year's Day. My husband and son put it together easily in about a half hour. The directions have pictures that are easy to follow. I like the bike very much. It is very quite so I can use it while watching TV. I have plantar fasciitis and need a way to exercise without having to be on my feet. Still have to figure out the programming using the directions. In mean time, it is easy to use already programmed settings.
I ordered my bike on "black friday". It took almost two weeks to receive it. But, it was within the promised time and in good condition. Heavy box, needed help getting it into the house.

I got it for health reasons but I find that my granddaughter(a size 3) and my husband use it as often as I do and that is twice a day. Before I got this I never worked out but I had to start exercising and this is the way. I like the different programs that go from simulating a level ride to up and down hills. I bought this bike specifically for knee rehab. I have a badly damaged knee that won't allow me to walk any distance any more or even use an elliptical trainer. I am using the bike to buy time for the knee until I have it replaced. I'm still trying to make friends with the seat as it is somewhat uncomfortable. My butt goes numb after about 20 minutes on the bike. Otherwise, it is exactly what I wanted. Stability is good. Ease of setup is good. Programming is a little bit clunky and somewhat less than intuitive. It is whisper quiet, so I just put on my favorite program and pedal away. With the bike, I've lost 15 lbs in the last month, lowered my blood pressure, and am doing well at strengthening the bum knee.
Overall, it's a good quality machine that is exactly as advertised. I would buy it again.

I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot which makes it very painful to walk. This machine helps me exercise without pain. It is comfortable to sit on and operate. The digital display is easy to understand and easy to read. There is a Quick Start button on the control console that I use to begin my exercising, but I'd like to set up a custom exercise regimine, but the instruction book does not go into enough detail so I don't know how to set it up. I'm goint to contact Schwinn to see if they will supply more detailed instructions.

Let me point out that assembly was not too difficult. I was able to assemble the bike mostly by myself. I assembled 2/3 of the bike before my sister was kind enough to lend a hand. Word of Advice to anyone looking to purchase this item: if you can find some one willing to help you, it will make your life so much easier, and help assembly time go much faster. The only reason why I stress this is, some of the pieces are heavier than others and it just makes everything easier when you are trying to stabilize and screw pieces in. So far so good with the bike. All in all, I am satisfied with this purchase. I assembled the bike successfully and it is working, so I feel like I accomplished something. Ive had it a couple of weeks now...I am just curious to see how long it will last with continued daily use.

Assembly instructions and hardware layout are the best I've seen in a product. Everything, including needed tools, is included on a card that uses both adhesive and durable shrink wrap. You would have to try hard to lose parts! I am a not-mechanically-inclined woman, and I was able to assemble it myself (though two people are recommended).
However, instructions for computer setup are next to useless - I still haven't figured out how to set it up for user(s) or to access/set up programs (the reason for four instead of five stars). Not sure yet if heart rate monitor is reliable (or if my heart's rate is unreliable!), but it is a helpful gauge nevertheless. There's a lot of information displayed during a workout.
Operation is very quiet, so either my husband or I can ride it while both watch TV on normal volume.
We use the bike to substitute for our gym workout when the weather is bad for driving to the facility, as well as to fill in the days we don't plan on going over to use other machines. My husband has arthritis in the knee of his leg affected by a stroke a couple of years ago and finds the bike to be perfect for him. I myself find that it enables me to get a good aerobic workout. Both of us are really pleased with this purchase.
Though the shipping date was delayed, the eventual delivery was ahead of the second date I was given. It arrived in good condition.

I was worried that this bike would not be enough of a work out for me because everyone seemed to be using it for physical therapy. Wrong! It is a great work out but I wish you could pedal backwards.

It gets cold and miserable here in the winter and staying fit it hard. It just got easier for my wife and I with this bike from Schwinn. It's super quiet and comfortable so watching TV is a breeze while pedaling away at an easy or hard pace!

I had problems getting shipment, the factory was back ordered, which was a problem due to pending foot surgery. The bike arrived after the surgery,[...] I was actually able to assemble it very slowly but was able to put it together, I had read reviews of other bikes, and a lot of comments about the difficulty putting the pedals on, which these were already inserted, only needing to put the foot pieces on. I have used the bike as much as possible, even works easily with the bum foot. The pulse monitor does not seem to be working very well, and I have only used the quick Start feature, have not had tIme to figure out the other programs, Bike is very quiet and I have been very pleased with it.

I bought this for my husband as a gift. I chose this specific bike after hours of research - all brands. I used to ride a Schwinn 5-speed approx 5 miles daily while in high school and college as a way to keep fit, which has been 30 years ago. I still have that bike. When my husband needed a recumbent bike for his arthritic knees, I turned to Schwinn, first, but I did research others. We have tried other bikes in rehab, but nothing compares to the comfort of this unit. The ease of assembly, the ease of use, and the overall appearance is a definite plus. However, getting this at a really good price [...] it was a win-win. My main deciding factor, however, was the durablility of the bike I rode daily for 10 years. It is an excellent product.

I use the bike every morning...gets me going and I'm more productive all day long.
Delivery sucked! It took the company 4 days just to get FedEx the shipping info. Then FedEx had the bike sit in CA for an entire week before the trip to NY began. Took way too long to arrive!

Although I've only been using this bike for a week or so, I'm really enjoying it. It is the most quiet bike I've ever owned! As far as a challenging workout, I can challenge myself as much as I could on any bike in any gym I've been a member. I'm very happy!

I bought it mainly for my daughter who plays basketball. It gives her a good workout outside of practice. Very easy to put together, stable and quite. The key pad can be challenging but you will figure it out.

The setup was not as bad as expected with help from another person. I would advise buying a 6mm allen socket and an adapter for your drill, for a 3/8 drive. Makes things go so much faster. We expect to get in shape over the winter with this bike and also help me after my knee replacement
Delivery was right on time, just like I was promised. Emails from customer service kept me up to date on the progress of my order. No disappointments.
