These additional levels of movement recruit more muscle groups to the workout, which creates a more rounded and productive workout instead of fatigue to certain muscles which would shorten a workout session. Conventional ellipticals merely add increased pressure to a select few muscles. The agile adds additional muscle groups incorporating legs, abdominals and arms for a total body workout.
